HERITAGELINKS
A cross-border project that turns conservation, access, digital innovation and sustainable travel into one connected heritage system.

THE BRIEF
A project that behaves like a network — not a collection of isolated actions.
HERITAGE LINKS connects local restoration, risk assessment, inclusive access, digital interpretation and sustainable tourism so that every pilot produces knowledge and tools that can travel across borders.
PROJECT OPERATING SYSTEM
Four logics working as one.
Each chapter answers a different need. Together they create the project’s full operating model.
CONSERVATION + RESILIENCE
Restore selected heritage and understand the risks that threaten it.
Local interventions are combined with climate and visitor-pressure assessment so that conservation becomes preventive, transferable and better informed.
- heritage restoration;
- risk assessment;
- climate resilience;
- shared conservation methods.
ROUTE + SHARED IDENTITY
Link places without flattening their differences.
The GR–IT World Heritage Culture Route creates a common framework for stories, services, digital content and cross-border visitor experiences.
- shared cultural narrative;
- cross-border route;
- connected destinations;
- common communication tools.
PHYSICAL + DIGITAL ACCESS
Open more paths into heritage.
Braille signage, WebGIS, tactile models, 3D scanning and immersive environments expand how people can prepare, understand and participate.
- accessible information;
- tactile models;
- WebGIS;
- VR / AR experiences.
TOURISM + LOCAL VALUE
Turn visitor movement into long-term territorial value.
The project promotes slower travel, off-season discovery and a more balanced distribution of flows, services and benefits.
- visitor-flow management;
- off-season travel;
- local economies;
- community participation.
FIELD ATLAS
Four places. Four pilots. One shared learning field.

Access is designed across a wide mountain territory.
Braille signage, route information and digital interpretation connect geological heritage, mobility and Greek-Calabrian culture.

The project is designed as a flow, not a finish line.
